They had a sort of a glow effect in Morrowind.I don't think that would be necessary, though. Maybe should be more like the bobbleheads in Fallout 3.Also I have to mention that I so much want to play this game and can't wait for it to be finished! :)

I think he meant the artifact items/weapons. It would be so damn annoying to realise that you walked past loads of prospective goldmines...You could also add that to valuable items to make them seem much more... valuable.
Like how Morrowind did it.My two penneth.
Cheers

How about, you can find cryptic clues that give hints to help you narrow down the locations of a few feathers…

Also, I suggest making a slight glow or sheen to the feathers visible only when you are in close proximity to them. Proceeding with questions, possibly in random places?Perks, unlockings, choosing special powers... So many possibilities!
But it's all so linked to items! (In this case - feathers.)
Well, Notrium also is. Except Alien's experience way which is a bit harder to code, balance etc. Not talking about mods (yeah, people worked hard on that XPs ;) )

On the screenshot it lies so openly on the table. Will they all be like that?<br

Another possibility would be something similar to the GRADE of Tales of the Abyss, where you unlock things for next playthrough (good ol' New Game +).

I like that idea. There could be like a merchant that you can 'trade in' your feathers to obtain various unique powers and perks. Not really trade in, but they get unlocked and you can only pick one every tier - E.G: Every 10 feathers 3 powers/perks are unlocked. You can pick one of them. Then the next 10 feathers 3 different powers/perks.The powers/perks could be randomly chosen from a large list, making the game more replayable, scaling up in magnitude as more feathers are unlocked. My two penneth.Cheers~Ed

Looks sweet!

I agree with E_net4 about the special power thing.<br
