I spent the weekend working on a launcher screen for the monkkonen.net games. At first I will put it into my older games to advertise Driftmoon, and in Driftmoon I’m hoping to make it a config utility, mod selector and perhaps an autoupdater.
Anyone care to test whether it works or not? All you need is to download Bikez II and see if it looks like above, and works with your firewall. If you have any additional ideas on what purpose it could serve in Driftmoon, I’m all ears. 
Hello! Seems to work fine for me. Good thinking, I like it. I’m not sure how many people get your games off your website, as opposed to other freeware sites? Anyway, I suppose it can only help.
Thanks for the help! I think it’s about half and half, but there’s really no way of knowing for sites that don’t link to the downloads from monkkonen.net. Some sites link to the downloads directly, so they’ll be getting the launcher versions from now on, and maybe we can get more visitors.

Works wonderfully! Great idea too. Maybe, you should make it a launcher or program that you run, and from it, you can access the Monkkonen games installed on your computer, see the latest news about the games as well as recieve notifications when some one replies to or PMs you on the forum or when you ‘tag’ a forum to recieve notifications from. Maybe, it could also automatically update games and you can browse mods and download them. etc. etc. etc.
That’s not a bad idea, and I’m definitely going to improve this for Driftmoon when it’s more finished. At least put in the updater, maybe mod selector and such. But a common launcher for all of the games, maybe…
