Please add following neat trick to the FAQ:

Climate has perhaps the bigger impact on map appearance than area itself. To set proportions of terrains more precisely, create multiple entries for same climate, for instance:
3;
3;
5;
5;
11;

11 is swamp here. I made it so there's 2 times less swamp than any other terrain. Tested and works. Use greater number of redundant numbers for greater precision. (Just make sure ratios remain appropriate).

I'm almost sure this trick works for places like day/night sounds, creature hit/death/fire/etc sounds... For instance I have several wolf howls, and only 2 crows. If I don't want my sounds too dominated by wolves, I'll type in crow files several times to compensate.
(not going to happen because I'll use wolves at night and crows at day)

For some reason no one used this trick in Default Notrium.

How come the .html FAQ isn't downloadable? :? :|

I mean, you can D/L it, but when opened, it complains about two missing .html:s...

I think you should zip up the whole thingy, for those people that don't want to get online just to read the FAQ...

Yeah they should make it so that people could download it. :) it would make modding a lot more easier.

You should do what I did I copied and pasted the whole FAQ so I can just open my notepad and read away.By the way the FAQ should do more then give a lowdown it should teach people to make a simply mod with a new race and some stuff.

Some explanation about radians, degrees and Pi:

180 degrees = 1 Pi radians
360 degrees = 2 Pi radians

Approximated pi:
3.141592 6 digits after dot - I don't know if Notrium can take more as effect parameter, but even if so I guess there's no point. Two-three digits after dot should be enough even for precise shooting.

If you use 6.2 as 360, as suggested, you can't hope for precise aiming with effects which use angles.
