OK, since the other one was locked...
I have pretty much the same problem (start up, ping, into white, then back to windows), but i looked in the 3D set up, and it gave me the option in 3D harware thing to get RGB emulation.
I highlighted and selected it. I then went back to set up to check if it was all working. It didnt have RGB highlighted, just nothing.
I can only assume that its doing something as soon as i exit...
Oh, and im also having this problem with Bikez2, but Notrium and Wazzal run fine.
Im just about to download Megabane.

EDIT: By the way, I have a NVIDIA Geforce2 MX/MX 400, and Windows 98.

Yes, I have the same problem with Bikez2.

The reason for those problems are not unfamiliar with me, and I even know the reason:
It's NVidia GeForce 2 MX/MX 400 that does all the problems. 
Seriously, that GFX card is mostly crap.
And this has been gone through lots of times.

Most likely the game just doesn't recognize your 3D hardware. There's nothing that can be done about it, unfortunately.

If that problem be NVidia GeForce2 MX, then thou art wrong. Magebane I&II plus Notrium and Wazzal run quite well.

I actually have ATI mobility radeon 9200.
Strange it does not recognize it. Why can't you try to fix it, Ville?

Because I don't know what the problem is. I don't have the problem with my computer, and it's impossible to find it out from bug reports.
