So. Erm. Don't forget to vote. It would be a bit of a letdown for Grim otherwise, wouldn't it?

EDIT: and roll. And propose, though that would be a bit stupid. And attack. And heal. And, well. Play.

Since no-one bribed me to do otherwise, I'll vote YES on Amarth's proposal.

Did you completely miss this part:

I attack Amarth for 4 points, 20 hp.

    I heal myself for 2 points/10hp.

    Front page updated.

EDIT: I heal myself for another point (+5HP)

I attack Amarth for 1 points (-5 hp)

The turn has ended. You can't.

    Overview of this turn.

    Inactive players:
    Nuk
    Pete
    Shingo

    Accepted proposals:
No proposals were accepted this turn. Amarth has a failed proposal and is penalized 20 HP. Sorry, Grim.

    Dice rolls:
    E_net4: 6
    Murska: 6
    Amarth: 6 * 50% = 3
    Grim Reaper: 3 * 50% = 1
    MageKing17: 5

E_net4 has most points. You'll have to redistribute 5 points among the others before the start of the next turn, otherwise they'll be given to Shingo. Please post how to do this, E_net4.

Updating first post. Next turn at 00:01 GMT.

How long have Nuk, Pete, and Shingo been at 0-or-less HP?
    #
    Murska 8 years ago
Long enough so that they're dropped after this(next) turn unless they heal themselves.

As Murska said, from the end of turn 5, I think. Essentially, only for one turn now. Barring some miracle where they are healed for +50 HP (could happen), they are out at the end of next turn. I suppose the check is together with step 12 in the sequence, where I check for all scores being non-negative.

Well, it's too late for me to give points. :/

Anyways, I attack Grim with 4 points (20 HP).

They went to Shingo because of your lack of response.

I heal myself for 11 points (55 HP).

    Yes, I know.
By the way, my parents will shut down my internets for this month (too much of download traffic). Therefore, I'm going on vacation mode, starting from the start of the next turn until the 1st of April*.

Question. The rules talk about removing players with non-positive HP from the game at the end of the turn. Given the order of actions as in the first post, when would be the exact time to remove them? I can see 4 possibilities, each with at least one reason to pick it:

At the exact end of the turn (Thursday, 23:59)
This would mean they are already out when votes are counted, and thus that they cannot keep proposals from being passed by being not around. This would also mean that it's impossible for a dying player to save himself by launching a good proposal - only score heals can help him during that last round.
Whenever it is mathematically impossible they will regain enough HP to have a positive amount by the start of the next turn.
Which means loads of thinking, but it'd be pretty flexible. Someone who launches a proposal might stay in, while someone who is really inactive will get kicked out at the end of the turn, or even when there aren't enough points left to heal him.
    After voting, before redistribution.
To disallow the leading player to give his points to someone who will be out next round anyway.
    After redistribution.
Because that would be the same time as the score >= 0 check.

What do you think? If no-one has a preference (or something to leave out), I'll just pick the thing that gives me the biggest advantage.

I'd go for after voting, before redistributing.
    #
    E_net4 8 years ago
    I heal myself with 5 points (25HP).

    You fail.
    #
    Murska 8 years ago
Just to be fair, I heal Grim for 1 point, (5hp), getting him to 100 allowing him to gain the full two points from his roll. I expect this favor to be repaid in kind some day.

I have been in favor of this interpretation since it was brought up in IRC. However, I could also go for the third option (after voting, before redistribution).

The second option has merit but would lead to huge debates (probably by people not willing to accept the mathematical truth), and the fourth option simply seems unacceptable (allowing points to be distributed to players who will be ejected from the game seems very silly).

    Murska 8 years ago
Yeah, the first option cuz of faster being able to propose.

I'll let the drop happen at the end of the turn then.

    Overview of this turn.

    Dropped players:
    Nuk
    Pete
    Shingo

    Accepted proposals:
    No proposals this turn.

    Dice rolls:
    E_net4: 1 * 25% = 0
    Grim: 2
    MageKing17: 2
    Murska: 1 * 50% = 0
    Amarth: 2 * 60% = 1
    Idiota: 5 * 50% = 2

I am the one with most points. I give one point to all of you - Idiota, E_net4, Murska, MageKing17 and Grim.

Updating first post. Next turn at 00:01 GMT.

So. Annoying people are gone. Get the proposal juice flowing.

Bot is out of date and should be taken offline for a little maintenance, but I can't be bothered. Tomorrow perhaps. First post should have correct data. Remember that E is in vacation mode.

I was thinking of proposing that point redistribution be based off of a percentage and not a fixed value, but I can't think of a good percentage, so I guess I won't.

Instead, I propose that we modify rule 4.1 as discussed at one point in IRC. Instead of reading "50% of all players", it instead read "50% of all players with HP greater than 0", so that players whose votes cannot count anyway do not influence the number of votes necessary to pass a proposal.

Well, easy success, then... If only Grim hadn't voted yet.

I propose to add the condition "players who are not in vacation mode" to rule 4.1, in the same way that MK added "HP > 0".

And I vote yes on MK's proposal.
