    Im actually looking for a name that would contain the spaceships name, Starsurfer. Any ideas.

    Its supposed to give the player control and camera back to the original player creature (from a mini robot, the player creature is class two), increase a bar by one and them teleport the player to a differeent plot object, all that on touch. The problem is... it doesnt do ANYTHING, it just dissapears. Any ideas?

    For the name maybe,
    StarSurfer-War,Doomed Starsurfer
    or change the name of the ship to "Petral"
    then the names can be, Petral Wars, Death on the Petral,Downed Petral. An even better name for the ship would be "Condor"
    Mod names could be, The Condor has fallen (TCF)
    "Condor Down" and perhaps "Doomed Condor"
    The ultimate name I can think of that doesn't have the ships name is Everybody For Themselves or they die. Short form (if used make this the name on notriums mod think) EFTD

    For the bot I don't think it's possible to do that.
    Unless I am thinking of another thing.

    Huh? I have the bot in-game and working. What I have problem with is giving the control back to player.

    And those are actually good names. Ill think about them.

    The trick is to make the actual "control" thing be a force-equipped item, where the "control" is only active while said item is equipped (think hoverbike). Once the item is un-equipped, control automatically returns to the player. Look at how the hoverbike does it for an example.

    Mage has a point its like the hoverbike you go near it click the keycard and you control it.

    I'd like to, but whoknowswhy it keeps crashing! When I look in the debug file it gives me this:

    He's overreacting to not getting a response from one of those "Come and Go" users. Kinda like how I overreacted to the return of whatsisname-that-won-the-avatar-comp. Of course, I remembered his name back then, but it's New Year's Eve. You can't blame me when it's 10:30PM on a New Year's Eve.

    Pete, where is your final mod version? i hoped to get it before the new year but you've broken my expectancies!
    did you save any backup versions of your mod before the foregoing crash happened?
    you should use any soft like CVS, or backups at least; if you have any backups you can rapidly repair the problem using some tools like "beyond compare" or "winDiff"...

    Release date: When its done.

    Hows it going: Screwed. The most complex map I have ever made suddendly decides to keep crashing, and I cant find any reason for it to do so, and I already deleted everything that could possibly be the problem. I can think of only one solution, and that is remaking the map, and trust me, I dont exactly want to do it. Sooo, I will fix it, but it will take a long time.

    it's atleast good to know that you are still working on the map.
    have you checked other files though it may not be the map but a broken line in a .dat file

    I checked the debug file, and it says it crashed when it was loading objects in that map. It has to be it.

    Actually...I did paused the mod till I be bored enough to make it again. This doesnt mean I dropped it or anything, just that Im taking a break.




    Now that I think of it, I AM bored! To the editor!


    EDIT: Oh the pain! The horrific PAIN of deleting a fully made map! YEEAARGHH! *falls* Ergh. *twitches*

    EDIT. I hate bars. With GREAT intensity. For some friggin reason, my health and one of special bars wont display! Why? WHY?!!!

    make a back up of your map just incase and check your .dat files about the bars.

    Also I am sorry if I am not patient it's just I am tired of playing the same mod's over and over so I really want pete to finish this mod. It seems so good!!!

    Actually, most of the mods have infinity replay value, simply because there are several possible endings, and a whole lot of easter eggs. Unless you've found all... what, 7? You should not be very tired of it after finding one or two. I've found four.

    with me I am not patient to find all the things. I like mod's like Aleryon Betrayal That have a set win point I am sure this mod is fixing the ship or something either way if this mod is good Ville should post it on the homepage!!!!!

    Edit: Whats the use Pete put this on hold it will eventually die end of story

    First you double post and then you consider Pete's mod dead?

    I'm sure Pete has done all he can to make this mod a good one.
    Its not easy making a mod you know!
