A Formal Proposition

eddeshun 17 years ago
I would like to apply this formal proposition on behalf of the Notrium3D community:

Ville,

As of this moment in time N3D has taken off the ground, and begun to snowball. Models are being made, code is being written, and ideas are being shared. Updates along with techdemos and plans have been posted. Progress is made daily. N3D is no longer a fan project. It is now a fan successor.
With our new work ethic, N3D will be Notrium 2. We are evolving your world.

But do you endorse it?

Will you allow us permission to build upon Notrium, using the original to develop the second? May we use the storyline? The sounds? The developmental process? May we expand upon them? What resources may and may not we use?

The time has come to choose how much of Notrium belongs to you, Ville, and how much belongs to the fans.

Regards,
DeShun

eddeshun, this has already been answered .

Ville allows fan projects, as long as they say it is a fan project. The name Notrium, and everything around it, is associated with Ville. If we use it, we must give him credit.

There was also something about not using the name 'Notrium', I think. We'll have to see about that.

Gonna search the original post now...
[EDIT]http://www.monkkonen.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=49043#49043 and around that.

Yes, I'm allowing the making of fan games, just as long as you're behaving nicely.
Please don't use the name Notrium 2, as I'm still going to make it myself one day.

How about Yestrium?

Now... That's a promise. After Cormoon, or even later?

*sigh* All right. Just don't forget what I said here.
Remember, in the future, that I tried to avoid this conflict.

Let it be as if Homeworld.

Prolly right after Cormoon. We're going to use the same engine, so it'll mostly be content updates. We might even give it out cheaper for Cormoon owners.

So Notrium 2 won't be free?

Or you could beg for Ville to approve bank transfer as a payment option.

Not here. You need a credit card for things like Paypal. Which basically sucks, because I don't have one and don't want one.

Anyways, if we want to discuss Ville's software studio, perhaps we can do this in another thread?
