Moderating guidelines

ville 19 years ago
Now that we have a number of moderators aboard, I think we need to have some central guidelines for moderating.

First of all, remember, this is not a serious job. People are here just for the fun of it, and so are we.

So, any ideas on what should our moderating guidelines be?
When do we lock a thread?
What do we do when we spot a troublemaker?

I'm gathering a list here:
Don't just lock a topic because people in the topic ask you to. Use your own consideration, and if you think it need not be locked, you can delete the posts asking for it. I've put up a new rule about this, asking people not to do this.
When you lock a topic, make one final post saying why you locked the topic.
