Finally, you make sense! 
Anyhow, here's how the cells work (each cell is 64*64 pixels):01 02 03 04| 01: Head 02 - 06: Feet 05 06 07 08| 07: Body (no weps equipped) 08: Empty 09 10 11 12| 09 - 12: Optional weapon fire animation 13 14 15 16| 13 - 16: Optional weapon fire animation Note that this is for player races ONLY. Other creatures use different type of gfx (which the player races used in Notrium 1.2).
Now, you can create the textures with any gfx editor (even paint), although if you use one that doesn't support transparency (e.g. paint), you'll need another editor to add that in.
You can use Flash MX 2004 for making the gfx (I do that. I also find it easier because of the amount of control over the things that make the gfx file... ).
And as you know (well, you're supposed to), the preferred texture format is .png (although I'm not sure which other formats are supported, could someone post a list?).

You put it either to Notrium\textures folder, or to it's subfolder with the name of your mod (e.g. mod name "Bunny", so it'd be Notrium\textures\bunny).
And for the naming, I'd say anything with no spaces nor any symbols that windows doesn't allow in file/folder names.

And WHY do you keep putting the [ color=something ] and [ /color ] tags at the end of your posts? 
If you want coloured text, put the [ color=something ] tag BEFORE the text you want to be coloured, and the [ /color ] tag after it. Example (in code format):[color=red]Text here[/color] And this is how it will look like in the post: Text here

Hi, how do you do this? because i want an abilty/weapon that can only mind control certain creatures(or just one)---i can do all that just not the "certain creatures" bit.
Oh and Is it possible to hit or effect creatures on your side?
Or command creatures from other sides?
Ive made traps to catch stuff but is there a way to make enemies not target it?-Ive put the trap on a side hostile to them but they are not hostile to the trap but they still attack it!(note:its a creature)

You put the trap as a hostile for others, but didn't put the others as hostile to the trap?
It's time for the old switcheroo (trap not hostile for others, others hostile for trap)!

Anywho, I can't say yes or no. Try reading the modding FAQ, maybe there's something about it there.
Although as far as I recall it, you can't harm nor hit creatures on your side...

Ok the main thing is
Yes the trap is hostile to most but they are not hostile to it. Switcharo did not work- i want a creature(trap) that attacks others, but they dont attack it.....
Secondly is it possible to make a weapon that affects only certain creatures if so HOW DO I DO IT!

So you put it so that the trap's hostile side contains the trappable aliens, and the trappable aliens' hostile side doesn't contain the trap, right?
Did you leave the trap creature out of the side list of the trappable creatures?
If so, try making it friendly in the eyes of the trappable creatures.
Remember to have the trappable creatures in the hostile side of the trap.

I cant make them on the same side as the trap and ive tried it when the trap is hostile to creatures and the creatures are only hostile to me!

Is there any way to give a creature a bar when it dosent start with one??? i cant find any ways... or is there a way to make a bar drain forever? Not a timed block one either or a player one- only a creature one (The creature cant start off with this drain)

Question 1
Is there any way to give a creature a bar when it dosent start with one??? i cant find any ways... or is there a way to make a bar drain forever? Not a timed block one either or a player one- only a creature one (The creature cant start off with this drain)
For instance can this effect last forever??? 23=continuously increase bar parameter3 by parameter1 for time parameter4 with creature visual effect from weapon parameter2
Or any similar
Quetion 2
The trap still gets attacked by the creatures (they run right at it and destroy it usually!)
Thanks to anyone that can solve my problems

hmm... i had the idea of dual weaponry (how original of me!) But ive kept wondering: can i make the x/y offset change every shot? As if each gun was fired seperatly.

You can do that by placing it in the timed events block and run that effect every second or so.
And no, it isn't possible to give a creature a new bar after the mod is loaded.
