    The date is due to the rigorous testing they'll be having to fine-tune the gameplay (the game itself is "ready", i.e. in a fully playable state).

    Now stop whining and enjoy the fact that there even IS a release date.

    Murska first said "September 9th", which was incorrect, so I corrected him with the actual release date, Sept. 7th. then he corrected me with the EUROPE release date, Sept. 5th. Then Ten-Four here decided to "correct" us with the previously "announced" release date (i.e. something Will Wright thought might be a proper release date), April 1st.

    So, anyway, Spore is to be released September 7th in the US, and September 5th in Europe.

    Yes. Although one would think that they mainly gathered all the stuff they got half-working and didn't have time to include into Spore proper, clumped that somewhere to wait 'till they're finished with the game, after which they'll work on smoothing out the rough edges.

    From what I've heard, 'twas released on the 4th for nordic countries n' such, the 5th for the rest of Europe, and will be released on the 7th for the rest of the world.

    Does spore contain securom? If it requires on line activation and has limited installs I will not be buying it.

    I've heard that due to the DRM (Believe that's the right Acronym) Spore is incredibly touchy and likes to accuse you of pirating, and stop working. Furthermore, you can only re-install twice after the initial time, or you're boned. So uh.... good luck, people that Spore seems to have screwed. :3
