Well, then. Call of Duty 4.
Ball kickin'. I absolutely love it. It's massively linear, it doesn't do anything new at all, it's not just a fun, simple shooter a la halo. But yet rocks arse.
I can't explain it, really. It's massively immersive, that much i can tell. And it's got just the right amount of eye candy.
But, but. There's something more. Remember how Brothers In Arms really tried to make you feel like a band of brothers? I mean, you really came to like the bastards during the game, but CoD4 is something else. There's no character development, but the communication and the organization in the first mission just got me hooked.
I daresay it even beats HL2. Not by much. But it does.
